Our Doctrinal Beliefs

1. We believe in the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, verbally inspired, the all-sufficient rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19)

3. We believe that Jesus was born of the virgin Mary and lived a life of sinless perfection. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; 2 Corinthians 5:21)

4. We believe that Jesus was bodily resurrected and that He ascended into heaven where He acts as the High Priest for believers. (Luke 24:23-40; 1 Corinthians 15:12-23, 35-37; Acts 1:11; 1 Peter 3:22; Hebrews 4:14)

5. We believe man was created in the image of God; disobeyed God and thereby incurred spiritual death which is separation from God, and also physical death as a consequence; and that the Adamic race are sinners by nature and practice. (Genesis 1:27, 3:1-21; Romans 6:23)

6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood. (Romans 5:8-11; 1 John 2:2)

7. We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and are thus the children of God. (Romans 8:9, 14-23; 1 John 3:2)

8. We believe those born again by the Spirit of God have eternal life and can never be lost. (John 10:27-28; 1 John 5:11-12)

9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and everlasting punishment of the lost. (John 5:24, 29; 1 Corinthians 15:51-58; Revelation 3:5, 13:8, 20:11-15, 21:6, 27)

10. We believe the Church is an elect company of believers baptized by the Spirit into one body. (Ephesians 5:23-32, 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18)

11. We believe that the "sign gifts" such as speaking in tongues and healing were temporary. We believe that tongues was never the common or necessary sign of the baptism or filling of the Holy Spirit. We believe that ultimate deliverance from sickness awaits the believer at the resurrection, though God frequently chooses to answer the prayer of believers for physical healing. 12. We believe in the personality of Satan and in his fierce opposition to the plan of God and in the ultimate doom of him and his angels. (Isaiah 14:12-15; 1 Peter 5:8; Revelation 20:10, 14-15)

13. We believe that water baptism by immersion is an act of obedience, signifying the believer's death, burial, and resurrection in Christ. (Acts 18:8; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Peter 3:21)

14. We believe that the Lord's supper (communion) symbolizes and calls our attention to Christ's atonement. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30; 2 Peter 2:13)

15. We believe in the exercise of church discipline in an attempt to restore an erring brother or sister as specified in Matthew 18:15-20; 1 Corinthians 5:9-13; Galatians 6:1, and Titus 3:10-11.

16. We believe that marriage was only intended by God to be between one male and one female and, therefore, do not recognize, sanction, or perform same-sex marriages. (Genesis 1:27, 2:18-25; Matthew 19:1-12)
